Question I have an SK-7100 Airboard (Old) connected to an HTPC running Meedio. I have used the Airboard_Combination_KM.txt file based upon the 7551 keyboard as a template to create a file that can be uploaded from the KM spreadsheet into my URC-8910 remote control. Everything works very well with the exception of certain keys which do not repeat. I have defined the volume keys, arrow keys, and pgup/pgdn to repeat as described in the spreadsheet by placing a '1' in the byte two column. I have read and re-read every thread related to these keyboards and I am pretty much stumped at this point. I am thinking that maybe the protocols do not match up between the two keyboards. I have posted my .ir file and the text file for the KM spreadsheet in the diagnosis section. The files both start with JS2045 - XXXXX. Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated. Thanks//Jeff

The normal forum protocol is to post links to your files as this saves people having to go find them themselves...

The trouble with keyboards is that they usually send a complicated 3-part signal, which consists of a DOWN, HOLD and UP portion. The person who was the resisdent expert on keyboard signals is no longer with us and I don't know if anyone else has looked into this enough to be able to help (I know I haven't).

I was thinking that myself. I did not have the pleasure of working with Jon Armstrong but from what I read about him he certainly seemed like a great guy. The lack of repeating keys is not a show-stopper for me. It's a nice to have... I use the volume punch through to the TV anyway. I think the work around could be using a PVR profile on my remote and then routing its output through IRMan and Girder and then on into Meedio. Using JP1 tools has worked out great for me otherwise. I have been able to control things like my Yamaha DSP-A3090 (non-mainstream) which I have never been able to do with any remote till now. Thanks for all the help//Jeff
