No buttons in KM or RM

Post by Indy1979 »

I have, in the past, successfully reprogramed my remote to use 2 replays, a receiver, and a dvd player using KM. Now whenever I load KM, or RM, I don't have any buttons listed in the buttons tab no matter which remote I select. Are there any other files I need to download besides the RDF and maps?

I'm using the latest versions of both RM and KM and even tried v8.31 of KM.

My remote is the URC 8810.

Are you talking about the actual button names, or the functions assigned to buttons? In both KM and RM, a new, blank upgrade won't have anything assigned to buttons.

The functions. If I start a blank new upgrade, I can't assign anything to a button because there is nothing listed.

Make sure the RDF path is correct and that you are picking up the RDF's

You need to specify functions on the Functions sheet before you can assign them to buttons. Keep in mind that KM and RM are used to create upgrades. They don't know details about any built-in codes... you need to specify all the details for Setup, Functions, and Buttons yourself.
