.Ir vs .txt problem

Post by fjmet »

Just went from IR500 to IR610. I have a lot of .txt files with many notes in the created in IR500. When I read in a .txt file in IR610, it removes all of my notes. If I save my .txt file as .ir in IR500, I get a syntax error in IR610. Is there any way to convert .txt files from IR500 to IR610 w/o losing all of my notes??

I can't explain your syntax error, other than the format of notes at the end of .IR files is totally different than it was at some point earlier, so that might be the cause.

I just tried opening a bunch of year-old files in v610.
The files are probably saved under v503 (.IR and .txt file saves). I don't know/recall how v500 worked.
From 503, both .IR (with notes) and .txt (just the image, no notes) files came into v610 with no errors. Notes in the .IR files are preserved.

I know of one thing that eliminates the old notes, and that's changing the RDF path AFTER a file is opened in IR.
