Hello, its me again.
When I bought my RS 15-2133 with cable so did a friend of mine and when we tried to get his Yamaha DSP-A1 to work with the remote set to 0354 we couldn't get the DVD function for instance. The 0354 code doesn't seem to be the perfect one - anyone that has an idea about another code? Or more importantly, how do I edit a code in the KM sheet without having it as a .txt file? Also when we had a look at some of the .txt files the functions and buttons were not visable in the KM sheet, why is that? Another odd thing happend, we had to reset the remote everytime we made an upgrade that didn't work - just entering the old EFC code again didn't help.
Until next time
Stefan

There is no other code that fits for the DSP-A1. Select DVD input is EFC 192. You could do a KeyMove or better, learn the buttons of the original remote in the 2133, download to IR and look, what EFC's the buttons are. Protocol is NEC1, device 125. With this info, you can create your own upgrade.

Thanks Uwe
We are not able to get anyone of our old remotes to teach the RS 15-2133 any functions - don't know if that has something to do with the fact that we bought an US model and our old remotes are of European origin? So to make any changes to the 0354 code we have to use IR.exe, we can't use the KM sheet?

No, the NEC protocol in US is as the same as in Europe.netbuster wrote:We are not able to get anyone of our old remotes to teach the RS 15-2133 any functions - don't know if that has something to do with the fact that we bought an US model and our old remotes are of European origin?
You CAN use KM. I took a quick look at remotecentral.com and found many files for the DSP-A1. I'll create a starter KM file, zip this with the list of EFC's and put it in the diagnosis area at JP1.netbuster wrote:So to make any changes to the 0354 code we have to use IR.exe, we can't use the KM sheet?
HTH, Uwe

Here are the official Yamaha IR commands for the DSP-A1.
http://www.yamaha.com/yec/customer/codes/DSP-A1_ST.pdf
Custom code = device in hex
Data code = OBC in hex
VCR3/DVD is 7D 85
0x7D is decimal 125 and 0x85 is decimal 133
OBC 133 is equivalent to EFC 192

You guys are awesome!! You rule and.....anyway
Many thanks.
Jon, I saw that sheet over the codes at Yamaha a few days ago and ruled them out since I thought they were of no use to me - You proved me wrong. I could follow the calculation of the OBC 133 which translates into EBC 192, mostly because I've allready seen that in a list somewhere, but now thanks to you I have all the codes, great. However this calculation: 0x7D is decimal 125, what is that used for?
All the best
Stefan
