Do you know what the Swedish versions of the base commands are (ie, DEC2BIN, DEC2HEX, etc) ?

Try selecting the Help menu option and do a search for "binary" (or whatever that might be in Swedish) as this will most likely bring up many of the base commands in the "3. Chose a topic" section.

You shouldn't, Mark Pierson will take care of that for the next release of KM.

The Swedish function names for country code 046 are already in KM. Are you sure you have the toolpak installed and enabled? If it is, can you tell me what version of Windows and Office you're running so that I can check into it further?

Another thing to check is the language settings for Office. From the Start menu, goto Programs, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Office Tools, Microsoft Office Language Settings, and see what you have for the Enabled Languages as well as the Default Language setting.

I have checked the settings in the "Tools" menu, and he "Analysis Toolpak" and the "Analysis Toolpak - VBA" is enabled.

I have checked the language settings in Office too. I have "English (Great Britain)" and "Swedish" as "Enabled Laguages". As default language I have "Swedish". It doesn't matter if I adjust the default language to English, the error message is still appearing.

I am using Windows XP (Swedish) SP2 and Windows Office 2003 (swedish) SP1. I have also tried on my Windows 2000 sp4 with Office 2000 with the same result.

Try selecting English (U.S.) as one of the Enabled Languages and that should take care of the problem (be sure Excel is closed when you make the change).

Got some strange results now...

I still get the error message. But now it states:

find the correct names for these instructions:
bin.till.dec
bin.till.hex
dec.till.bin
dec.till.hex
hex.till.bin
hex.till.dec

These are the correct names for the functions... Very confused right now...

Thanks for helping me out! Really helpful!!!

If you still have the zip file, try extracting a fresh copy of KM and try again.

With these names?:
bin.till.dec
bin.till.hex
dec.till.bin
dec.till.hex
hex.till.bin
hex.till.dec

or the defaults of:
BIN2DEC
BIN2HEX
DEC2BIN
DEC2HEX
HEX2BIN
HEX2DEC

What happens if you close and re-open KM?

Another thing to try... open KM and ignore any errors regarding the toolpak names. Re-save KM (ignore the messages about saving as an .xls). Close KM and try re-opening it to see if it works.
