|
Best wishes for 2005 to all.
A while ago I started programming my dreambox remote URC-39730 B00-00, so a version 2 model, for using it with 2 devices, the sat box itself and a LG LCD TV. It worked fine.
Yesterday with the help of Mietde I found out about a nice guide for dreambox remote programming.
It tells about programming a third hidden AUX device, that worked well for me. Now I'm able to control my LVC DVD player as well.
It also shows how to use a fourth extra device by adding a device select protocol, macro and a keymove. I can not get this working for my remote. Mietde showed me that this extra (fourth) device is only present in the first dreambox remote 1k version rdf, not in the second version.
My questions is as follows:
Is there really a difference between the dreambox remotes, versions 1 and 2, in the number of internally supported device buttons, 4 and 3 respectively? or is the second version rdf too limited?
Thanks in advance. |

I don't know about the Dreambox, so I can't answer your question directly, but there is a special protocol available for all remotes called the "Device Multiplexor" that will let you stack multiple setup codes onto a single device button. This should let you do what you want. _________________ Rob

RDF is OK, fourth device is not supported in V2 remote.
As Rob said you can use Device Multiplexer for four or even more devices.
When you will make keymoves for Device Multiplexer don't forget to take setup code offset (30) into account. |
