How to find code for nexxtech

I bought a cheap HTIB and need to find a code to run it. I looked in the files section of the yahoo groups. here is a link to the product. http://www.circuitcity.com/ccd/productD ... ?oid=97421 .

Based on the lack of replies, apparently nobody has done this upgrade, so it's your opportunity to excel!

Unfortunately, your 6131, although a popular and capable remote, is not a learner, but I presume it's modified to be JP1 capable, since you have a cable.

Your best bet is to buy a cheap learner from WalMart of Radio Shack, learn the signals from your OEM remote, create your upgrade, return the learner for a full refund!

Then post your upgrade in the files section so the next guy CAN find an upgrade when he comes looking.

Option B would be to send your OEM remote to someone willing to do the learning and building for you.

I bought the NexxTech sysem at Circuit City a couple of weeks ago, and have been searching for the codes, too. What I've found is that the DVD player (a Sony, I think) is new to the market and nobody's got the codes yet.
Once I get my 8811 & the JP1 thing figered out (just bought that, too), I'll see if I can do an update for it. But don't hold your breath. I'm still at that wonderful clueless newbie stage...

I have learned signals in an IR file, nextechDVD.ir ,but I have no idea what model it was. I think some $30-$50 gadget. It worked on two models in the store. It uses NEC1 protocol. You can use it as a starting point for KM or RM upgrade.

I'm don't really follow the connection between that set of learned signals and the ESDVD100, which is the subject of this thread. But assuming there is one, I have more info:

There is a CCF here tev-dvd-drw1000.zip for a Tevion DVD Recorder DRW-1000, which uses NEC1 protocol with the same device and subdevice numbers as your learned signals.

I checked several OBC numbers and in every case I checked the OBC in that CCF file is exactly 192 larger than the OBC you learned. That probably means that adding 192 was part of some system to allow multiple units to be controlled in the same room. There may even be some way to change which unit code a given model responds to.

But more importantly, that CCF has more commands than you learned. Maybe some of those extra commands also work in the Nextech. Just use DecodeCCF to get them from the CCF and subtract 192 from each OBC.
