Hi there,
I have just purchased a URC-6131 from Best Buy during a trip to the states and am upgrading it for JP1.
I have installed the 6-pin plug but don't yet have the EEPROM (it's on order). should I be able to connect to the remote with IR because at the moment I get a "No Response From Remote" error when I try to connect. I know the interface is ok because it works with my 8810, 8811 and 9910 remotes with no errors. However, all the other remotes are 6v ones (4xAAA batteries) whereas the 6131 is only 3v (2xAAA) and I didn't know if this could be causing a problem as I only have the simple parallel interface.
Regards

The JP1 interface is an interface directly to the eeprom inside the remote. The JP1 software doesn't talk to the remote; It talks to the eeprom.
No eeprom means no JP1. |

Oh, thanks for that. I wasn't aware that the JP1 interface was talking directly to the EEprom.
Thanks for the help
