There are 2 Hauppauge upgrade files in the Misc folder at Yahoo, but I have no idea if they contain any additional functions other than those on the original remote.
I would suggest that you wait until you get your Hauppage, JP1 learning remote and JP1 cable before trying to proceed here.

The RemoteMaster upgrade has all the buttons from the original remote. I've been using it for quite a while with my MediaMVPs. If you change the device type to DVD instead of SAT then you won't need any keymoves (saves memory) although you will want to move some keys around. The official UEI upgrade is a SAT type 1408 but they left several buttons off. Most of the Hauppauge upgrades are in the PVR sections.
I haven't found any discrete codes yet but I'd love a discrete ON or OFF.

Just call me Zaphod (or Steve) --- I never should have started using numbers in a screen name but I just can't stop now.
