Hi everyone,
I have been using my faithful URC6131M that I got from the Robman several months ago. This remote has simplified my control of all my A/V equipment and the wife can now operate everything with no problem.
However, I just replaced my old 32" Panasonic TV with a new 55" Mitsubishi. Using the code in the 6131 manual, I can control the Off/On and the video settings(brightness, contrast, etc.) What I need to control is the input selector.
I hate to buy another remote but I was thinking of getting the 8910W version so I would have a learning remote and wouldn't have to ask for codes.
If any of you have the Mitsubishi WS-55315 and could post the file I would be grateful.
Thanks,
bogey776

The URC-8811 would be a cheaper option if you just want it for learning. Or you could send your original remote to one of us to capture for you.

Thanks Rob,
I've got to go with the wife to walmart tonight. I think I'll just sneak a JP1 learning remote in the cart.
After I've learned and saved it with the software, I'll come back here and find out how to post it to the codes section at yahoo for the next guy.
Thanks again for the advice and the great remote Rob.

Just make sure she doesn't spot what you've snuck in the cart until she's already got the credit card out!

BTW some of the newer Mitsubishi's have slightly different timing
than the standard protocol which causes the arrow buttons to behave
strangely. I've seen this on a Mitsubishi widescreen RPTV with Net
Command. When you press arrow keys it jumps 2 spots.
Someone posted a modified protocol to address this condition, so
if you see this issue, you should look for that custom protocol.
