keys slow to respond

Post by skoopman »

I have a URC 8910, and I'm learning the keys from my Bell ExpressVu remote. When I learn the keys without the extender installed, the learned buttons are lightening fast. When I create a new device using keymap-master and upload with the extender I have to hold the button for a second or double tap it. I even tried setup code 0775 without the extender and had the same problem. What is causing this. Thanks

You don't mention how well your upgrade performs without the extender being loaded, but as SAT/0775 exhibits the same symptoms, I suspect that whether the extender is loaded or not is irrelevant in this case.

As your learned signals work perfectly, I would suggest that you create an IR file that contains both the learned signals and the upgrade that you created, then load this file into the Diagnosis Area for someone to look at.

Please provide a link to your file to make it convenient for the experts to find it, but please read the "how to" thread regarding posting links first.

I will upload my file when i get home from work. Another thing I'm not sure about is when i learned the buttons from the sat remote the protocol is identified as DishNetwork_Dishplayer. I wasn't able to find the exact same protocol in keymap_master.
