I can't find any code to operate my RCA RT2600 receiver. Can anybody help me?

Please read the sticky post about the #1 FAQ at the top of this forum and provide the information requested. There is a device upgrade in the files for an RT2300 that is probably close.

RCA RT2600 codes

Post by khark »

Sorry I am new to this. I have a URC6131 that is modified for JP1. I also have the original remote but there is nothing in the manual for the URC6131 that I can find that tells me how to learn the codes from the original remote. I know this sounds dumb to the experts but it isn't too easy for a beginner.

I have tried searching for the code as the manual instructs me to do but it doesn't find any code that works. I also asked support at One For All and they only gave me the same codes that are in the manual that don't work.

With the receiver on, using setup code 1254, try all the keys. You will not be able to turn the receiver off with this code.

The URC6131 isn't a learning remote, so you can't do that.

Have you tried any of the existing device upgrades on Yahoo?
RCA-receiver test.rmdu, or RCA_RT2300_Receiver_URC-8910.txt

If you don't know what to do with those files see JP1 How-To's and Software Tools.

Thanks, 1254 does change the volume and mute, I will try after a while to see what else it may control.
