SAT/1142 PVR Advance code is missing code for pause

Post by dannydeutsch »

The SAT/1142 PVR Advance code located here:
http://www.hifi-remote.com/cgi-bin2/ueic.cgi?PVR_0618

This does not have a code for Pause

Does anyone have this code?

I'm sure it's just an oversight. It is present in any of the TiVo upgrades at Yahoo.

The EFC is 219.

Greg,

Thanks, I was thinking it was 219 but I will have to wait until I get home from work to give that a shot.

Funny thing I noticed when looking at the upgrade files at yahoo is that other codes do not correspond to the codes I am seeing. I am comparing the codes on this:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/jp1/files ... tended.txt

to the advance codes here:

EFCs are really only 8 bits, but the remote accepts larger values and truncates them to 8 bits. KM and RM upgrades use only values 0-255. UEI often publishes their EFCs in the range 256-511, and sometimes even 512-767. They're still all the same value.
0=256=512
255=511=767

I admit, it's been more than a year since I programmed my RS2116 using IR, so I am very rusty, but this past weekend I swapped out my old Sony Tivo for the Directv HD Tivo. Using code 1142, I am able to make the remote work as I wish, except that I cannot program the code for the jump forward command. The above link shows "jump" as being Hex code 411, but that's also the code for "Enter", which is what happens when I push the button - instead of jumping forward 30 seconds, it switches tuners.

What am I missing?

Great. Thanks.

Funny thing is, when I loaded the new IR program into the remote, I lost control of every other device except the directivo - punch-through volume, mute. Couldn't even control them when I pushed the respective device buttons directly. Weird. All I did was change the code for the SAT button to 1142 and add a few key moves for it. Batteries aren't low.

Any idea what may be causing the loss of functionaility?
