Code for PHilips CDR775 needed
I do not have the original remote control and the CDR760 in the files section do not have the " Track_Inc " button which is really the only button I am after as the function is not on the front panel of the CDR775. If you have a Philips CDR remote that have this button, please help.
Thanks,
Steve

Is that a different function from "Next"?stevey88 wrote:the CDR760 in the files section do not have the " Track_Inc " button
The Philips CDR-760.txt file has Next (EFC=177) and Prev (EFC=209) mapped to the Ch+ and Ch- buttons.

When you are recording from an external source like from a LP. Pressing Track inc will increase the track # by one. So instead of the whole side of the LP being 1 track, you can have each of the individual music/song to be a different track.Mark Pierson wrote:Is that a different function from "Next"stevey88 wrote:the CDR760 in the files section do not have the " Track_Inc " button

I found a CCF file over at RemoteCentral that lists a "Track+" function that decodes as EFC=110 (OBC=026). Try that to see if it's what you're looking for.
Mark
I just tried that code and it skip to the next track during play. No function when the unit is recording.Mark Pierson wrote:I found a CCF file over at RemoteCentral that lists a "Track+" function that decodes as EFC=110 (OBC=026). Try that to see if it's what you're looking for.
I tried to see what's in the CCF file using CCFTools, etc. but due to my lack of knowledge in CCF, I can not get anything useful out of it. Can you shine some light on this? The CCF file said CDR775 so it must have theinfo I need.
Thanks in advance for your help.

I don't know what CCFTools does, but the program you need is DecodeCCF, which can be found in the JP1 file section. I used it to get these codes from that CCF file. You'll notice that most OBCs are accounted for, but there are a few gaps. I'd be quite keen to test those gap codes if it were me to see what additional functions I could find.

The preferred JP1 tool for CCF files is DecodeCCF.exe using the DecodeIR.dll.stevey88 wrote:I tried to see what's in the CCF file using CCFTools, etc. but due to my lack of knowledge in CCF, I can not get anything useful out of it.
Only if the creator included it...The CCF file said CDR775 so it must have the info I need.
I took another look and the "Track+" function appears to be from another device code (20), while the CDR-760 upgrade file uses devices 26 and 31. There's another function in the CCF labeled "CDR" (EFC=018, OBC=63) that I don't see listed (by EFC/OBC) in the upgrade, so you might want to try it. Also, does the CDR-760 file work for your 775?

Re: 760 code tried
Mark,
You are right! the 760ccf will have the Inc Trk code only if the creator have included it. I have used the CDR760 code found in the file section and it works - the Play, Stop, etc. But the 760 remot do not have the INC TRK buttom. I have enter the OBC codes from 10 to 69 and none of them perform the INC TRK function. OBC 63 will select the CDR drive if CD drive is selected. It appears that entering OBC code above 70 will just loop back. Is this correct?

Rob, I think you got out of sync for that ccf file. The OBC's for Philip's are always pretty consistent. I re-decoded the file where Mark had posted the link. It has two devices that use RC5:20 a DVD (that I think is unrelated to the CD-R) and apparently the CD functions of the CD-R.
IIRC, Philips used RC5:20 for early DVD's and switched to RC6 for DVD's some time ago. The CD-R functions appear to use RC5:26. There were only two in that first ccf file: 26:63 that selects the CDR function (I also suspect it would turn it on from off since OBC 063 usually does that) and OBC 012 the typical Philips power toggle. The remainder of the RC:5 commands come from other ccf files for CDR's.

stevey88, unless you change device codes any OBC>63 will subtract 64 from the OBC in that protocol. In KM you need to swap EFC/OBC in the FUNCTIONS tab. To get the upper 64 commands (64-127) you place the OBC in column B and a 1 in the byte 2 column (column C) to call those commands upper commands.
BTW, all commands from Philips CDR-760.txt, the device upgrade in the JP1 files, are for RC5:26

Philips CDR775 code
Found, the EFC is 107. It appears that the 775 code is different from the 760 code.
