DirecTV D10 codes

Post by donstephens »

I'm looking for the codeset to program my URC8811 to work with a new DirecTV D10. I had assumed that this receiver was simply a rebadgeed RCA, but apparently not.

Thanks:

Your 8811 is a learning remote, so you should be able to learn the signals and create an upgrade.

It is? Are you sure about that? I don't see anything about learning in the manual.

Search this 8811 manual for "USING LEARNING KEYS". While it indicates you can only learn to L1-L4, the truth is you can learn to most buttons except the device buttons, and possibly the Power button.

Can you imagine Homer Simpson, hitting his head with his hand and saying "Ohh!"?

Thanks for all your help and patience. I'm going to go and hide for a while.
