A word of warning, my experience with the Onkyo SR510 receiver is that the discrete off works (it's that same as the one in the file Mark linked above), but the discrete on is actually a power toggle (it is also the same as the one in the file Mark linked above).

However, in case anthony_d13 doesn't know this, the workaround is a macro for discrete off|power toggle = discrete on.gfb107 wrote:A word of warning, my experience with the Onkyo SR510 receiver is that the discrete off works (it's that same as the one in the file Mark linked above), but the discrete on is actually a power toggle (it is also the same as the one in the file Mark linked above).

Yes, that is a workaround, but you have to put a pretty good delay between the power off and power toggle, to the point where it becomes a pain to keep the remote pointed properly, and that decreases the WAF and KAF significantly.
Since the rest of my gear has true discrete ons, I just use the toggle in my global on macro. If the receiver gets out of sync, just push the button again. That's what they would do anyway.

Power on/off for Onkyo TX-DS777
How would I do a toad tog for power on/off ?
It's explained in the toadtog documentation for the 8910 extender:

I'm having big trouble getting things going, can sfhub or gfb107 build a working file for my remote (URC8910bo2), my components are Apex DVD mdl#1010w, Onkyo Receiver mdl# TX-DS777, Fujitsu plasma TV monitor mdl# P42VHA20US and a Scientific Atlanta explorer mdl#3250HD cable box. My wife has hard time get the the buttons right with all the remotes. I would like to have one macro turn on the TV, RECEIVER and CABLE BOX with volume levels and channel changing using the cable box. The other macro to turn on the TV, RECEIVER and DVD with all the avaible DVD controls except the volume to be controlled by the receiver.
