RCA DVR model DRC 8005
normal DVD functions work with code 0522 but the record button is not programmed. could someone post the .txt for code 0522 so I can add the record button or if someone has already done this please post.
Those EFC numbers are in devices4 and were just posted in this thread

They also match the Xbox and the GE1105P upgrades in the DVD folder

key move fixed it
Here's the output from IR for the key move. I have the DVR on AUX.
AUX REC = AUX VCR/DVD 0522 $17 122
AUX REC = AUX VCR/DVD 0522 $17 122

I'm too lazy to look this up, so I'll just guess.
Is this one of the situations in which the record key defined within the setup code needs to be pressed twice (an intentional safety feature in the design)?
A keymove would eliminate the requirement to press it twice.
The press twice rule, if you didn't understand it, would make it seem like record programmed via setup code wasn't working.

In this case the Record function is not defined in the standard DVD/0522, which is why we're having this discussion in the first place!johnsfine wrote:Is this one of the situations in which the record key defined within the setup code needs to be pressed twice (an intentional safety feature in the design)?
