I'm having a problem with previewing/printing the "Key Map" page. I get the following error in Excel 2000 (9.0.6926 SP-3).
Run-time error '50290':
Method 'Saved' of object '_Workbook' failed
The dialog has buttons for Continure (greyed out), End, Debug and Help.
If I hit End the print preview seems to work as does printing.
I'm not sure when this broke as I last printed a file in v8.12

I just tried KM on XL2K (9.0.2720) and could not replicate the error. Of course, it also works on my main XP system.
If this happens consistently everytime you use KM, then you might want to try selecting the Debug button and letting me know the name of the routine that the error occurs in as well as the actual line of code (it should be highlighted in the VBA editor window).

Yes, its consistent--that is every time. BTW I'm on Win2K SP4.
Here's the Debug screen.

Did you upgrade Excel to SP-3 since you last printed in KM 8.12? I think the error you're getting is a result of something in SP-3, which means that there's little I can do to fix it.
Someone else (ElizabethD?) reported some strange things after an XL SP upgrade as well.

Do you get the same error if you select File, Print instead of using the preview?

I don't remember when I applied SP-3. The last time I used KM 8.12 was on or around 2/19/2004 and I think SP-3 preceded that.
Update: I just checked my saved patches and the timestamp on my Office 2000 SP-3.exe file is 11/19/2002 which is probably when I applied it.
BTW I just tried this on a
different box running Win98SE (same version of Excel) and got exactly the same error.

File, Print Preview has the problem but File, Print just brings up the print dialog.

And if you choose OK to print, what happens?
Do you still have an older version of KM that you can try this on?

As I said before both preview and print work despite the error.

I'm emailing you a test version to try. Please let me know (either here or via return email) whether it eliminates the error.

So is this problem solved or not? I can dig out my info for KM in SP4 as well as some simple solution, if still needed.
I'm having a bit of trouble reading this thread. The screen shot makes the space too wide and requires scrolling sideways for every sentence. At least I guess it's the screen shot.
I haven't yet grabbed KM825, will do so soon.
