Have just purchased remote RCU810 and is working ok.
I have a problem which I can't seem to solve.
I can run and work IR509 ok with Keymap-master no problems.
I am keen to try out Remotemaster but for some reason I am unable to get it to start-up,.
When I double click and select "Remotemaster Power Archiver Jar file" and "Setup Power Archiver Jar file" what starts up is
one box headed PowerArchiver 2001 -RemoteMaster.jar which has 164 files in it.
And one box headed PowerArchiver 2001 -Setup.jar. with 2 files in Manifest.mf and Setup.class
Have downloaded and installed java j2sdk-1-4-2-05 windowsi586
Have reinstalled many times but Remotemaster will not run, Its got me beat.
I have got Windows XP Installed

I don't know exactly what "Power Archiver" is, but it must be some sort of archive manager/tool. It has taken over the asociation for .jar files, which should be associated with Java. Try going into the settings/preferences/configuration for Power Archiver, and look for a place where you can select the file types or formats that Power Archive is associated with. Make sure that Java archives (.jar files) are NOT associated.
Once you've done that you should be able to double-click the .jar files to launch RemoteMaster.
If you don't want to mess with Power Archiver's settings, just double-click rmaster.bat

Hi Greg,
Thanks for the reply.
Maybe I don't fully understand the program.
I have associated the file with my remote file IR509 RCU801 in the JP1 Software folder.
This brings up the same image as is in "JP1-Just How Easy Is It" on page 3 of 13 the only difference is there is no Scan/Fav tab in my image.
I was looking for the same image as is on pag 2 of 17 in "How Do You Load An Upgrage" which has the heading "RemoteMaster v 1.00 "Image 5.1 RM's initial screen" this has a setup tab which is not in my program
Do I have the correct program running if not what program or file do I associate the RemoteMaste jar file or MS-DOS Batch file with.
Many Thanks

Hi Greg
Managed to get RemoteMaster running at last.
After searching the forums regarding Java, There was a querry to check the control panel for java plugin.
When checking my control panel I did not have the java plugin, yet I had downloaded Java J2sdk1.4.2_05 it had installed ok and was in my Add or Remove programs.
What I did was go to the Java folder and selected the java plugin, which then installed automatically.
Next time I went to the remoteMaster folder all the files were there including setup reg, which was not there before, when I selected this it prompted to update my registry which I agreed, hope I was right doing this.
I now see why you could not understand how I was trying to run RemoteMaster.
I posted this, should someone else have the same problems as me.
