Wow, they're certainly trying to make it hard to do accidentally. I mean, hold 2 and 8 simultaneously, and that's after having to pull the batteries, wow.

I just bricked a 3680 trying out a new cable (that did not work). I was able to tell just before my previous cable died.

It has no lights to guide an MF reset.

Once I have a working cable, is there a way to reset the remote using the Remote Master program?

I would just load your last good config and see if it works.
