Hi,
First of all, thank you for creating this incredible software and for maintaining this community and information.
Do you have any recommendations for small remotes that work well with JP1?
I really like the fire tv remote and would like something similar to it.
I would like to control my LG TV and a connected CoreElec Kodi box through it. Ideally, through CEC so that the same navigation buttons work both while in Kodi and while in the LG webos UI (especially settings like switching modes).
I'd like the following buttons:
- Navigational buttons, select, back, home
- Play/Pause rewind / forward
- Open TV settings
- Options / secondary click
- Announce format on my soundbar
- Volume control and mute
- App buttons that either open apps on the TV or select specific HDMI inputs
I don't want to have a number pad. And I don't need prev and next channel buttons, but I wouldn't mind them. Especially if I can remap them to something else.
So far, the only remote I found that fits the bill is the One For All Streamer (URC 7935):

Are there any other ones' Perhaps something cheaper and available on Ali express? Or ones that have a few more extra buttons I could program?
Best small remote for streaming

Yeah, that's the main one I'm aware of and the one that I use myself. I bought mine for $10 each a while back when there was a glut of used ones on ebay, presumably store returns since they're pretty difficult to program without JP1, which most people aren't aware of. I haven't checked the used market lately.
Ebay is probably still your best bet for the lowest price. Just search "one for all streamer remote".
While I like mine for the most part, it does tend to eat batteries for some reason, maybe the light. And the clicks are a bit distracting in a quiet room. Besides that, they fit the bill for simple streaming.
Post back if you have any trouble. I remember having to use a few tricks to get mine set up properly.
