OARUSB04G

Post by HamburgerHelper1 »

I came across a OARUSB04G with a bad usb plug on it and decided to sacrifice it
the outer rubber gasket was all cracked and just peeling off as well
This is not a high quality pic it is just for curiosity i have no plans to work on this remote
I can only assume the metal piece in the plastic shell is some sort of induction coil for the light on pick up
also it has 6 contact pads like a jp1 connection

image seems to not work

I fixed it for you. You can't use the link to the page where the image is as the image link, you need to use the link to the actual image. The quickest way to determine that is to go to the page where the image is, then right-click on the image, and select "open image in new tab".

The page where the image is located is:

The link to the actual image is:

In case this might help someone in the future

Without it's Rubber gasket around the seam it is uncomfortable to hold
Anyone have suggestions as to how to make a gasket for its seam?
Perhaps silicon caulk?

Maybe something like Formerol/Sugru?
Alternatively you can mask it with narrow tape of adhesive rubber or neoprene.
