I have a Bose Wave Music System III that is also known as the Bose Wave Radio III that a friend gave me without a remote to replace my broken AWRCC1 and the unit has NO buttons at all on it (Way to go Bose LoL!)
Anyway this upgrade is 99.9% functional I am just missing the "Alarm 2" button as this version has 2 alarms
Original Remote
They also used to sell a backlit "Premium" version so if someone has access to that I would also like the "Snooze" function if not just the "Alarm 2" function
Thanks |

I think you'll have to try the gap OBCs yourself. To make that easier, here are some things that you can do. First, go to your RM folder and find the protocols.ini file and open it using Notepad (or any text editor). Then look for the [Bose] entry and edit the CmdTranslator=Translator(comp,0,8,0) entry, replacing it with CmdTranslator=Translator(lsb,comp,0,8,0)
Then after saving it, re-start RM and open this new version of the Bose file:
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=26919
This version uses the official Bose executor and your edit above means that the OBCs will display correctly.
Then, you just need some new upgrades that use all of the gaps in the OBC range. I have created an RMIR file which includes the new upgrade (above) on the TV button. Then the next 5 device buttons have test upgrades that include all of the gap OBCs, where you are much more likely to find something use in the first upgrade than you will in the fifth. The idea is, you should load this RMIR file into your remote and then first test that the TV upgrade works your Bose properly, then try all of the buttons in the next 5 device buttons to see if any of them do anything. If they do, make a note of which button it was and from which device button, so I can get the right OBCs and add them to the main upgrade.

I got it to work Thank You!
Apparently I needed 2 different buttons one to activate the alarms and another to set them.
The alarm setup button now works as intended on the Wave Radio III, before (with the old upgrade) I was only able to set alarm 1
Anyway I uploaded a new Upgrade that has the proper alarm setup buttons for the Bose Wave Music System III AKA Bose Wave Radio III |

So, you added OBC 98 (Alarm 2) and OBC 162 (Alarm Setup Menu), did you find them using my test upgrades? You also deleted OBC 112 (Alarm Wake to), is that one really no good?
I don't suppose you found any other secrets in your search? _________________ Rob

Yes I found them using your test upgrade file and I am super grateful for that!
"Alarm Wake To" (OBC 112) was replaced by "Alarm 2" (OBC 98) as the button did nothing on my model of Bose

Most of the buttons did nothing however I actually found discrete AM and FM band buttons!
If you want I will go back and find out what OBCS those were at a later time, when I have more free time. |

Yes, please do, discovering secret codes is one of the core things that we like to do in JP1-land. So, please post the discrete AM and FM codes, then when you have time, see what else you can find. _________________ Rob

Your Welcome!
Glad to help out the JP1 community whenever I can!
I looked everywhere for said OBCs or even a Pronto hex code but I came up empty handed.
Why the unit has no buttons on it is beyond me however I do know it has a touch sensor on top but that is about useless as it is only for power on/off and to snooze the alarm
Thanks again |

If anyone needs the pronto hex codes, just ask, we can make them. _________________ Rob
