I'm pretty sure I got from a remote at WalMart about 3 years ago, not sure why I never uploaded it. http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=25184 NEC1 device 4, very common, code TV-0178 is one.
The other I just created from learning a competing brand universal remote upgraded from their database, for a HiSense Roku TV, Roku protocol device 234.199, not built into UEI remotes at all to my knowledge. This one has your HDMI discretes. http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=25185
It wouldn't surprise me too much if both upgrades actually operate the TV; I've seen this in other devices.
Let us know what you find. |
Opening an old thread again. Is there any chance in being an updated upgrade file for this hisense roku? This upgrade is missing rewind, skip back, and ahead. I couldnt find a newer one in my search. Sorry for duplicates. It's not letting me erase the last message. |

I added Rewind to the original file. Just download it again. No Roku has skip fwd or skip back buttons. But I've found that right and left arrows often perform skip functions during playback. I'd just map right and left to your skip buttons. |

Until May of this year I had no roku TV's in the house, then I bought 43" TCL Roku TV, then family members moved in with a Insignia 55" Roku tv. Then my sister moved in and she bought 40" HiSense Roku tv. The TCL and Insignia respond to each others code, which match tv code 10463. The Hisense responds to this too, but Hisense oem remote has no effect on other two Roku tvs. Hisense code match tv code 10178. I was told by Customer Installer at RC that ALL Roku TV's were upgraded to respond to each others code set, I guess no all.
So if you don't find it under Hisense file, try TCL or Insignia Roku tv files as well. _________________ Edmund |

I have a Hisense Roku TV.
On my two URCs (Spectrum/Charter & ONNx6), the device code that matches my OEM remote the most is #1/2183.
Ffwd & Pause are incorrect.
The correct EFC for Ffwd is 00235 and copy Play to Pause.
HDMI port EFCs:
00004 #1,
00008 #2,
00006 #3,
00010 #4 (unconfirmed).
The Dynex TV code #1/2049 starts off with a similar key set but has more programmable key codes available. It, too, has incorrect Ffwd* [correct EFC = 00008] & Pause codes. It could not turn on the TV after an AC reset, however. (We turn off our power strip every night.)
HDMI port EFCs:
00223 #1,
00227 #2,
00220 #3,
00224 #4 (edit: now confirmed).
The TCL? TV code (#4398 on the ONNx6) has a similar initial key set.
It has
- more programmable keys available than the above,
- the correct key assignments for Ffwd & Pause and
- it turns on our Hisense TV after an AC reset.
HDMI port EFCs:
00217 #1,
00215 #2,
00219 #3,
00212 #4 (edit: now confirmed).
All three device numbers include direct channel digit entry.
The ONNx6 includes a channel Dot key.
The Charter/Spectrum URC does not, but it can be programmed.
EFC = 00055 on #12183.
EFC = 00169 on #12049.
*Spectrum URC is incorrect. ONNx6 URC is correct. _________________ SysTech Larry

Hey Larry,
I'm guessing that your post is mainly to help people that don't use JP1, as you're talking about setup codes, so here are the device codes behind those setup codes, so JP1 folk can use this info too:
TV/2183 = NEC1 dev 4
TV/2049 = NEC1 dev 134.5
TV/4398 = Roku 234.199 _________________ Rob

I also have a Hisense EN2A27 remote.
It is made for Hisense 4K Roku TVs and is not entirely compatible with my Hisense HD Roku TV [M# 43H4030F3]. _________________ SysTech Larry |
