I just purchased urc-5000 OFA remote on eBay, I bought my original one in 1988 at Silo. This is not later urc-5000 12 in 1 that had the same model number. The one I purchased actually is 15 in 1 device remote. It had 5 named devices at the top, plus two Do1 & Do2 devices at the top too. Plus each of the lettered key at the bottom was a device too. 7 + 8 make 15.

It was the first universal I ever owned to have library of codes. All previous remote were only learning remotes, no data base of codes. My urc-5000 came in set with OFA urc-3000, which is their version of the x10 iR-543. And appliance module and lamp module.

I may have had one of those too, not as a "daily driver" remote, but as a collection piece because I did buy a whole bunch of really old OFA remotes some time back. But I did come to my senses and gave them all to Goodwill. Prior to getting the Radio Shack 15-1994 remote, I had used a 15-1918 and 15-1925 as "daily drivers".

To this day, the RS 15-1994 is the most ergonomically satisfying remote I ever owned!

It's still the one I use every day.
