Thanks.

Just drag some functions to the Shift column of the buttons tab of RM or on the Layout tab with Shift selected. Then tap SETUP followed by the button to test. To test a shifted Number key, you have to tap SETUP twice.

You'll need to remove the Shift=0 thing that you added first, as that prevents you from programming shifted functions. Then, just like how you programmed shift/MENU and INFO earlier, program something to some other shifted buttons. To test these new functions, don't try doing a long hold like you did in the previous tests, instead TAP the SETUP button then TAP the button that you programmed. For example, if you programmed something to shift/POWER, you would tap SETUP then tap POWER and see if it performed the function that you programmed.

While you're doing this, please program 2 different functions to shift/MENU and shift/INFO, so we can sure which is which. Last time you programmed the POWER function to both buttons. Maybe this time put POWER on shift/MENU and GUIDE on shift/INFO.

Ultimately, since the long presses and shifts overlap, I think it would be best to add the ":Shift" binding to Menu and Info buttons in the RDF to prohibit their shifts being used. We have a similar overlap issue with the colored buttons in the RDF for the CM-7500XRC2 due to the huge number of buttons in Button Map 3.

I think that's our intention, but first we need to determine if any shifting is allowed as that will tell us whether to block all shifting or just block it for those 2 buttons.

Hello

Thanks to all of you for your help!

The shift function (second function of a key), works fine, although it is not supported on the number keys (0, 1, 2, 3… 9).
But by doing the latter the original keys change their default function.
I need more time to better study the behavior and see if there is any relationship.

Is the maximum number of remote control writes 100? Samsung S3F8 processor

Greetings

Did you tap SETUP twice for the number keys like I mentioned before?

I think we have our conclusion. SHIFT *is* supported, but it should be restricted on MENU and INFO, plus we'll need 2 new button names for 94 and 95.

Please try these RDF, map and image files which should include everything agreed above, including the new image file supplied by alfalfa.

Wonderful!
I didn't find any fault
I'm going to try a few more days, but it seems to be perfect, ready to include it in new release.

Hi

I was "playing" all weekend with the remote control and everything has worked fine. So I think it's ready to include it in RM.
I still have to test Dev8, Dev10 and if it supports macros, but that will be in another stage.

The original Manual of this remote control can be downloaded or read from here (It is written in Spanish and Portuguese):

https://www.oneforall-argentina.com.ar/sites/default/files/2018-12/711296%20Manual%20URC1289%20RDN-1060717.pdf

Many thanks to all of you for your help and collaboration.

Those files are gone.

I wanted to copy the lines for button 94 and 95 into the map for URC-1280v2 as that model also supports long key press for rew and ff.

Can somebody advice me?

Thank you!!

Those files are gone.

Files are deleted from the RDF Development folder once they are included in an official release of RMIR. They are in the current release, v2.14.15. You will find 364801 (URC-1289 Contour 8 LA).rdf in the RDF subfolder, URC-1289.map and URC-1289.jpg in the Images one.

Thank you Graham!

Unfortunately something seems to be incorrect in my URC-1289.map.
There are no entries for "SkipBack" and "SkipForward" or similar.

Also, the layout looks like this in RMIR which seems to be messed up by anything.

I found out that the entry in the maps-file is not necessary to setup both the long press buttons. The change alone in the RDF is sufficient.

Hello I'm sorry, I kept using the previous version and I didn't see the bugs in the new one.
