xsight touch activities help

Since EZ-RC has closed down, JP1 is your only option to get these remotes upgrades. We will (eventually) support all remotes formerly supported by EZ-RC, including the Moster Revolution 200.

xsight touch activities help

Post by fredo55 »

Trying to replace my old RCRAP05B with an Xsight Touch. After setting my devices(TV, Marantz audio, Roku Premiere, and Formuler TV box) I tried to create my first activity to watch TV, I set the first step as turning on Marantz but can't continue adding more steps. Is there a simple guide to completing this activity?
I'm using RemoteMaster v2.09 build 8

Just double click the Activity Macro, pick a Device and Function from the drop-downs and click Add or Insert. You can also change the delays (Pause after) between each step by typing in a different number.

More activity info here:

If you still can't add more steps, post your RMIR file so we can have a look.

Thanks for replying. When picking Marantz I can select the function Power, but if I select My TV the functions available learn, button,... there is no Power. With all the rest of my devices, I can finish the activity fine.

Yeah, sounds like your TV device has issues. Post your file and the make/model of your TV. Since you're coming from another remote, post that RMIR file too as well as your TV RMDU file. Just zip them all up and post to the diagnosis area.

Besides that, the Power toggle function isn't the best choice for an Activity. Your Marantz should definitely have discrete on/off, which you should be using. Most TVs have discrete on/off these days as well.

Tx, You are right, the problem was the TV device. After deleting it and setting up the upgrade again everything looks ok. Also, I'll use the discrete power for the Marantz. My TV is a very old RCA (thinking to replace it with a projector)
Lots to learn, thank you.
