Hi,

I'm trying to create an upgrade for an Epson projector remote.
It's a recent model (laser projector).

I get the following signal from irscope with original remote:

My remote is a URC8820 Ext A.

What protocol can I use in remote master to make it work?

Thank you

I think you can use NEC 4dev combo protocol.

The remote have to send both OBC code with a single press. I have to choose between device 1 and device 2:

Can you upload the IC file from these learns (and more learns if the original remote has more buttons)? The decodes may not be correct, because the timing tolerances in IRdecode.dll are quite loose, especially for NEC signals. With the ICT file, we can try to find a different decode for which we have an executor.

Why do you say that? Those are 4 separate captures.

The 131.85 codes match 3FG's Epson upgrade, so those are probably correct.

In fact, I would just load his upgrade and see how it works.

Sorry it is not working because this particular projector and a lot of new Epson need to see both codes as my original capture 129.3 as well as 131.85.

Here are some buttons from the original remote:

A year and a half or so later...

For anyone who stumbles upon this searching I got my hands on one of these recently. Unlike OP I had no issue learning from the original remote and doing a device upgrade.

Worked fine on an INTESET remote with NEC2 protocol, device 131 subdevice 85.

Sadly no extra discrete goodies were to be found going through OBCs 0-255 but hopefully once I get my picture settings dialed in it'll be set it and forget it!

For a power toggle, the PJ takes enough time to warm up that you can just use a ON-STANDBY-STANDBY macro. Much quicker than a bulb model though!
