My slingbox is a sb260 that has different menu options then your instructions...
The instructions that always worked for me are
"Put the right file into your C:\Program Files\Sling Media\Slingplayer\SBAV\ folder (For the Mac it is /Applications/SlingPlayer/Contents/Slingbox Setup Assistant/Contents/Resources/SBAV/).
If you are not sure which Slingbox you have then put both files in.
Now go into the Slingbox and run the Audio/Visual setup again using Cable as the device type.
This time use 'Other' as the brand and in the next screen use scroll to the bottom of the Code numbers, select 'Custom' and then type C2010 (NOT c2010, the code is case-sensitive) in the newly appeared Custom Code window. Then complete the setup as normal (In Slingplayer 1.5, you do not need to scroll down the codes, simply type C2010 in the Alternative Code window)."

Did you notice anything in any of the instructions that you read that mentioned anything about whether saying "it does not work" is a good reply or not? And did you notice anything about a list of questions that we need answers to in order to know how to help you? I know you said you read everything, so I'm guessing you saw both of those. Any particular reason you felt it didn't apply here?

So, not only did you ignore the part of the instructions that is marked IMPORTANT and is highlighted in Red, but you also ignored the instruction that with a Slingbox Solo you should try the RV file as well, and you also ignored Rob's post asking you to read the post at his link. I give up I'm afraid, life's too short.
