I have now posted development build 4 of RMIR v2.10 in the RMIR Development folder. This development build of RMIR v2.10 contains only one file, a RemoteMaster.jar to replace that in build 3, the current official release. The only difference from build 3 concerns the disabling of Enhanced Power Management, a step that is needed for XSight/Nevo remotes only. When Enhanced Power Management needs to be disabled, RMIR now offers two methods. One is essentially what was in build 3, detailed instructions on how to use the Windows Registry Editor to make this change. The new alternative is for RMIR to make this change itself, but because of the security surrounding registry changes in Windows, this needs RMIR to be "run as administrator". Again, full instructions are provided.
I would welcome any comments from users of XSight/Nevo remotes on the treatment of Enhanced Power Management in this build.
