To be honest, you'd be better off using a Wireless Keyboard handset instead of I.R. You need this IR handset to switch it on, but that's more or less what they're good for, even the original remote.

This sort of thing:

Hi There - thanks for the recommendation, although what I am really looking for is the remote code for the slingbox so I can change the channels remotely.

Do you may know a bin file for me to upload to my slingbox which may be compatible ??

I tried HTV 1 and 2 and not worked properly.

Thanks much

Thanks. Unfortunately I can't help as I get the IR codes from the Logitech Harmony IR database and that box is not in there.

if you had the original remote, you could capture the command for every single button and then someone here could help you.

True, but I would hazard a guess that the remote is in the Far East and I am in the UK.

I think the OP is in the US, and that is a good point. carnevallemarcelo79, if you're willing to buy a JP1 learning remote, you could capture the codes and then we can use that info to build a BIN file.

You can get the OARUSB04G for $17.34 on Amazon
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HNIHM5S/

Or $12.95 on ebay:

Here is an idea:

Since you only need ON/OFF and channel UP, Channel down codes, buy this remote:
https://www.ebay.ca/itm/Universal-Infrared-IR-Mini-TV-Set-Remote-Control-Keychain-Key-Ring-7-Keys-Hot/352654401420?hash=item521bd71f8c:g:CEAAAOSwUnJcyo0i

Its only 99 cents including shipping! If it does not work for you, it won't break the bank.

I have a few of these. They send a series of on/off commands for many devices (kind of like tvbgone).
When the correct command shuts off the unit, you then save it for next time. This will lessen the guessing game on the very specific commands you are after.

Is your thinking that if he gets the keychain remote and finds a working code, you can then program that same code into one of your keychain remotes to capture it? Reading the description on eBay, it sounds like this remote just works with TVs, so I doubt that it will work with the OP's STB.

I used one of these remotes for an older chinese media player i was given without a remote. In my case I just wanted to know what the ON/OFF command was. It may or may not work in this situation but the cost is only 99 cents.

If it does work, the OP will have to figure out the command, system ID etc by capturing the signal somehow (arduino, usbirtoyv2, etc)

Really, there aren't many options if you don't have a remote.
You can try the guessing approach.
Here are some commands to try:
Code:
Device = 00
Command = 12      ;mute

Device = 00
Command = 1E      ;power

Device = 00
Command = 0C      ;vol +

Device = 00
Command = 00      ;vol -

here are some more from another remote:
Code:
Device = 00
Command = 1F   ;Vol +

Device = 00
Command = 43   ;Vol -

Device = 00
Command = 02   ;power

On all of my Chinese media player remotes, the device code = 0. I have not seen another unit that wasn't 0. They all use NEC1 protocol. I have others if any of these don't work.
Without a remote, it's like finding a needle in a haystack.

I just re-read the first post and I see that the OP no longer ha the original remote, so this isn't just a question of getting the Slingbox working, it's also just gaining basic control of the unit.

carnevallemarcelo79, you can buy a replacement OEM remote for just $9.99 from the website link you posted:
