No longer have a need for my collection of remotes (actually, have not for a while, but finally getting around to distributing them). Unfortunately, i cannot tell you how well or poorly most of these work, but happy to get them to a happy home for cost of shipping:

Radio Shack 15-1994 (x2) - One of these has an internal rattle. Both battery covers are held on by tape, rubberized textured outside is sticky.
RS 15-2117 with IR repeater (x3) - Two of these have an internal rattle, rubberized textured outside is sticky.
URC 8910 B02 with IR repeater - no rattles, battery cover intact.
HTPro (URC 9811 B00) - internal rattle, battery cover taped on.
URC 6131 B00 (x2) - both are in mint condition
    URC 1056 B01 (x3) - all appear fine
URC 1056 B01-L (one silver and one black) - all appear fine
    Cox (URC 7820 BP1) (x3) - all appear fine
URC 9960 BJ3 - rubberized textured outside is sticky.

Happy to ship individual ones (probably ~$5, likely a bit more for the ones with IR repeaters) or box up a bunch of them.

Just so you know, the black rubber surface has started deteriorating on all of those remotes with such a surface, due to their age. This can be remedied by giving the remotes a really harsh cleaning to remove what's left of the rubber surface.

You mean the backlight? You might want to check with the Capn if the backlight still works on his, I have a big box of these and recently found that the backlight doesn't work on any of them.

Yes the backlight, the electroluminecent film burns off
a long time ago i started a thread about usng an LED For lighting but no one responded. My thought was to replace the electroluminecent plastic with
a milky white diffuser plastic and have an LED shining onto that
there is enough room in the remote so it is just a matter of testing where
electrically to attach the LED without burning anything out

The remotes themselves work fine, I just tested JP1 communications, but the light is not functioning on either. I'm happy to ship them to you and if you can harvest any useful parts, great.

If you Paypal me $7 I'll ship both of them to you Priority mail.

By "harsh" do you just mean elbow grease, or using some sort of solvent, like acetone?

I assume that water/soapy water is a bad idea for these, right?

When I clean the casing, I have already removed the insides of the remote, so I don't have to worry about getting water on the PCB. And by "harsh", I meant using Soft Scrub or steel wool pads, and yeah, you will need quite a bit of elbow grease too! Tommy sold me a box of 15-1994s quite a while ago and I never did anything with them, then when I dug into the box a few months back, I found that they were all sticky and none of the backlights worked. Funnily enough though, the 15-1994 that is my main remote hasn't deteriorated at all, so I wonder if daily use helps prevent it.

I have 2 15-1994s that have never been used and neither shows any sign of case deterioration. I suspect that it is a batch to batch variation, maybe the release agent used in manufacturing the cases. The URC MX500s also made in Korea at about the same time (maybe in the same factory?) also suffer from this sometimes. I've found that WD40 can get rid of the goo on them.

Lighter fluid is another great tool for getting crap off of stuff.

Capn Trips
I'd like the URC 6131 B00's if they are still available.
How do we set it up?

Thanks,
Walt

Wow, I'd be interested in the URC-8910 if still available.
I became separated with one of these 3 years ago during a "Spring Cleaning" and have regretted it ever since.
