Thanks chuliu, I just grabbed the Sligbox from the last post, but I see you are right, we've had 3 different answers to that question, so I assume the OP has 3 Slingbox units.

i'm looking for a binary files for Strong SRT-8211 to work on my slingbox
i have Slinbox PRO, PRO HD and 500
the files sent by alanrichey don't work on this 3 Slingbox
i try all the installation method sent with the binary files but not work on the 3 slingbox.

When you say they "don't work", you don't mean that they're sending the wrong IR signals, you mean that the Slingbox software says that the files are invalid, right?

Would you mind sending me the slingbox id of your pro hd or pro, as well as the admin password so I can try setting it up remotely? You can change the password afterwards.

hello,

when i say "not worrk"
it's very difficult for a french to explain the problem.
i test to send the IR file to the slingbox pro the PL bin file don't want install.
when i send the RV file it's install the remote but the remote not work with my SRT box.
in the Slingbox 500 the two files install a remote but not work with my SRT box

the official remote of my SRT BOX work correctly
the IR Blaster of my slinbox work correctly
the binary files don't work with my SRT BOX

ah, ok, so it looks like you need RV files, not PL files.

Have you ever installed a BIN file into your Slingbox before?

If necessary, you can answer in French and we can translate using Google.

j'ai déjà installé des fichier BIN sur mes slingbox pour d'autres décodeurs et cela fonctionne très Bien.
la les fichiers donné pour le SRT 8211 ne pilote pas mon décodeur TNT

I have already installed BIN files on my slingbox for other decoders and it works very well. The files for the SRT 8211 do not work for my TNT decoder.

Thanks Pasreb, I think that confirms that you know what you're doing, but we just don't have the right signal codes for your STB.

Pasreb. One last shot.
I captured ir from my harmony 650 mimic a strong srt8211 and the signal decoded as NEC1, not RC10, as per Alan's file.

Please try my file to see if it works with your 500.

Thanks for jumping in Chuliu, and thanks for confirming that it works Pasreb. I have combined the two bin files with a generated RMDU file, zipped them together and replaced the first file posted, which I moved to the Slingbox folder.

The generated RMDU file just has generic button names, could either of you confirm if the generic button names are appropriate or could you supply the more precise Strong function, if you can determine it?

Also, if there are any functions still missing, I can help you find them.

Here is the rmdu file for srt8211.
There are functions not mapped to default skin.
It is better to find a skin with more button for functions

Thanks, I added that to the zip. I also added the un-assigned functions to the Custom buttons. Pasreb, if you download the zip file you will find additional functions on the Custom buttons. If you test these and find any buttons do not work, or do something different than you were expecting, please let me know and I'll make the corrections.

Also, if there are additional buttons on your original remote that are not included in these upgrades, I can help you find those.
