KM bugs in versions at LEAST as far back as 8.06

Post by jherrick »

Mark,
There is some kind of a bug in the KeyMap sheet of KM at least as far back as version 8.06. I am working with Jim Gammel to get the Mintek DVD protocol 0717 into my Atlas cable remote. During the process he made me aware of this bug.

Trying to get EFCs for the functions of this upgrade, the KeyMap sheet lists the EFCs in hex.
I tried loading it in 8.06, 8.18, and 8.20, and the same EFC bug happened. I loaded it in 6.12 and it worked fine.

Also, the upgrade does not list any key moves in the Device Upgrade section in 6.12, but in 8.06 and 8.18 it lists many. Curiously, they dissapear again in 8.20.

Thanks.

Yup... there's a bug in there. The good news is all you need to do is go to the Functions sheet and click the Swap EFC/OBC button. That'll display the EFC's on the Key Map sheet.

I'll get the bug fixed for the next release.

Regarding the Key Moves (or lack thereof), go to the Key Moves sheet and in the Max Key Move Bytes cell (L5), enter 227. That's a bug that was fixed already, but unfortunately there could be some old files with incorrect data in them that I can't do anything about.
