First, NAD D 3020 amplifier. The default NAD codes in the remote don't seem to work (I got as far as turning the device off, but nothing else). However NAD has released a document with the codes, which looks like:

Code: Select all

Function Format Address Data Address Data
                   Hex Hex Dec Dec
Aux 1 NEC 877C 9B 34684 155
Aux 2 NEC 877C C0 34684 192
Bluetooth NEC 877C C2 34684 194
Coax 1 NEC 877C 85 34684 133
Computer NEC 877C 91 34684 145
Mute NEC 877C 94 34684 148
Optical 1 NEC 877C 89 34684 137
Optical 2 NEC 877C 8D 34684 141
Power Off NEC 877C C8 34684 200
Power On NEC 877C 25 34684 37
Source Down NEC 877C 1D 34684 29
Source Up NEC 877C 1A 34684 26
Volume Down NEC 877C 8C 34684 140
Volume Up NEC 877C 88 34684 136
Please tell me this information can be used to generate a device upgrade (and how), or point me to the appropriate upgrade. The original remote is as good as broken, so using it for learning codes is almost hopeless.

Once you get the connection issues sorted out with your URC-6440 remote, you will be able to use it to learn signals from your remotes and then see the results on your computer.

In this case it's easy to translate the codes that you posted into codes that you can use in RM, just convert the hex to decimal and you're all set.

I did that and created this...

Sorry, I should have reported back earlier, but you missed the part where I said:

and you also missed: https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... e_id=25227 ;)

The "tricky" part was understanding that I should not use the hex codes as such, but I had to invert them... which was then equivalent to using the dec codes directly as OBCs.

No, I got that about the NAD remote, I was talking in general.
I did miss that, where did you post about it?

Yeah, we could have helped with that as we know this stuff.

I didn't post anywhere else, just uploaded the file. I saw no obvious place to post an "announcement". I also uploaded the device upgrade files for my other devices, should I post about them somewhere else?

Only if you have posted asking for help with them, otherwise folks might go to the effort to create files for you, only to find that you did it yourself.
