FanHub DCD7005sHKC (Hong Kong)

Post by Puddinggow »

Hi, I would really appreciate some help, especially from Al if he is available.

I have a M1 Slingbox and it is connected to the Wharf Hong Kong CableTV FANhub https://apps3.i-cable.com/OnlineCentre/ ... 0guide.pdf which I believe is made by https://www.ekt-digital.com/stb-devices/cable.

Way back in Feb, I posted for help in the Slingbox Community Forum and Al posted an IR binary code which worked to control the FANhub. My Mum was experiencing some problems with the picture quality today and I tried to reset it but unfortunately I realised too lat the binary code files are on my other laptop which is in Hong Kong and I am in the UK for the next 3 months. I have spent several hours trying to find the right code and trying out several in the hope I can find one that works. I did not realise the Slingbox Community Forum was closed down a couple of months ago so I couldn't even search for my old post there. I would really appreciate any help! I am at my wits end trying to work out which codes can operate the remote

Thank you very much!!!!!

Sorry for the delayed reply, only just got out of hospital. If I produced a BIN file for you it will be in the File Section. But I have searched through my files and the section and can find nothing under Wharf, FanHub or Ekt.

So a bit stuck.

No problem at all and thank you very much for replying so soon after leaving hospital. I hope all is well.

That's ok, I will find a way to ask a friend who has a spare key if they can switch on my laptop so I can gain access to it remotely so I can find the files. If I can get the files is there anyway I can send them through so others who have the FANhub can also download them?

E-mail the PL file back to me at alan@rmrsoft.com and I will upload a complete package.

Hey Al, assuming that the OP doesn't have a way to capture the signals, etc would it be safe to assume that you found them in the Harmony database?

No, there is nothing there under Fanhub. I have no idea how (or if) I produced the original file.
