I have a Funai DVD Burner without an original remote. I just got my new OARUSBO4g remote up and running. I have a Harmony One remote that controls some functions of my burner. I tried to learn a couple of functions from my Harmony onto my OAR. The OAR looked like it went into learn mode (rapid blinkin of device button), but when I do a download I don't see anything on the learned tab of RMIR.
So I guess I have two problems:
1-Is there something I'm doing wrong in the learning process.
2- I needa Funai DVD devive code or upgrade.
Funai DVD Burher Device Code

Some success
I have successfully learned a command from my Harmony remote. It shows that the Protocol is NEC2 and the OBC is 1189 for the OK/Select Function.

Re: Some success
OBCs are in the range 0-255, so that number isn't correct, and more importantly, we need the device and sub-device codes.Oinge 1953 wrote:I have successfully learned a command from my Harmony remote. It shows that the Protocol is NEC2 and the OBC is 1189 for the OK/Select Function.

Funai makes Magnavox DVD recorders. Magnavox uses NEC1 135.34 codes not NEC2 codes. All of the Magnavox upgrades that I opened have OBC 119 being the UP arrow, NOT the OK/Sel which would be one button higher on your remote.
I'm thinking you might have really fat fingers or really tired eyes.
I'd try the Magnovox DVD Recorder MSR 90D6

Unless it is a combination DVR-DVD recorder DVR, or combination DVD-VCR
There are other upgrades that would be better for that.

Remember to provide feedback to let us know how the problem was solved and share your upgrades.
Tip: When creating an upgrade, always include ALL functions from the oem remote, even if you never plan on assigning them to a button. Complete function lists makes an upgrade more helpful to others.
