Micca Speck G2

Post by jriker1 »

I ordered a Micca Speck G2 video player and curious if anyone has codes for this? I haven't received it yet, but want to be able to program this remote into my remote. Does anyone have this device remote or know how I can download the commands once I get it without buying stuff?

Thanks.

You do have a JP1 cable, because this remote uses a USB cable and one comes with the remote, and even if you've lost it, any similar USB cable will do. So, now that we have that covered, we're back to the learning question, because this is a learning remote.

Nevermind. However just for prosperity sake, that assume this remote actually does an accurate job of capturing the commands. 1/2 of what I capture doesn't work when tested and have to keep re-capturing.

That could be because the Micca remote uses an unusual protocol, but more likely it is user error when learning. If you post an RMIR file containing the buttons that you were able to learn successfully, we would be able to create a "starter" upgrade for you, and we would likely be able to identify why you're having problems learning the signals.

GlobalCache's Control Tower has it. Turns out that it is NEC1, device 1. The file they mail you can be converted to RemoteMaster using these instructions.

If it's NEC1, then the likely reason why many of your learns do not work is because you are only capturing the tail end of the signal, which is meaningless by itself.

When learning, follow this guide:
1. Put the learning remote into learn mode
2. Wait a second
3. Start pressing the OEM remote button
4. Hold the button until the learning remote indicates that it is successful
