Have Atlas DVR loaded into IR. Under the GENERAL tab, OTHER SETTINGS, does anyone know what the 'CBL channel control lock' and the 'CBL setup lock' do??

Re: Need IR help
The channel lock is used to lock the remote to use only the cable/sat channel buttons no matter what device you are in. Turn it off and the TV channel buttons will control the TV in TV mode etc.fjmet wrote:Have Atlas DVR loaded into IR. CBL Setup lock OFF lets you change the setup code of the CBL device if the cable or Sat device you have is not the default the remote was designed for.

Re: Need IR help
To elaborate on that a little, cable companies often set the CBL setup lock to prevent users from inadvertently changing the Cable setup code to anything other than their cable box. With the lock turned on, the remote will reject any attempt to change the cable setup code when doing it on the remote itself. The lock does not affect JP1 operations, so IR can change it even if the lock is turned on.Nils_Ekberg wrote:CBL Setup lock OFF lets you change the setup code of the CBL device if the cable or Sat device you have is not the default the remote was designed for.fjmet wrote:'CBL setup lock'
