Newbie need help again on Pioneer 3DEV

Post by terence8888 »

After Robman's great help in upgrading the ARCAM. I'm trying to upgrade my set-top-box (Pioneer DBTRF100GB). I think it uses the 3DEV code. ON the power button, it sends 2 codes (170/174 and 175 42). I managed to make the buttons that sends only 1 code (say 170/178) work. The ones that send 2 codes would not work. I put the device1 to 170 and device2 to 175 (does device3 matter?). To programme the power button, I put OBC at 174 and byte2 at 2 42. Am I doing something stupid?

I would need to see a greater sample of your learned signals to know which Pioneer protocol is the best choice. Could you learn as many examples as you can, but make sure you include as many of the 2-part signals as you can, and then load the file into the Diagnosis area, then post a link to the file.

I managed to figure out that the code is actually Pioneer MIX. Everything works perfectly now. Thankfully I bought the 8811 as I would definitely be very lost without the learning capability. Thanks again Robman! You've been incredibly helpful.
