need WD TV Live+ code for OARUSB04G remote

Post by scopus »

I've tried using device code 2558 assigned to the DVD button on the OARUSB04G - not working. I've tried assigning it to other device buttons as well without success - I'm manually programming it using the remote, not with PC & usb cable.

I might have my Wd tv version wrong - mine has built-in wifi and still contains Netflix - I guess the later ones don't. I curse WD for making so many versions named so similarly. But I'm only finding this one code for WD regardless.

Ideas? Or just out of luck?

Thanks,
Scott

This is a simpleset remote, so you should be connecting to the web site to program it and then come back here if it doesn't work.

It appears you have a WDBHG7000NBK-01

If you are willing to install Remote master you can install an upgrade from
file section – device upgrades – media player

https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... y&cat_id=4

http://sourceforge.net/projects/control ... 03build12/

This also allows you to map the buttons in a way that makes sense to you.

For instance because the OARUSBO4G doesn’t have dedicated fast
forward/rewind buttons I map them to channel+ and channel-.

If need be you can also change the setup if you have a code conflict.

The OP used the correct setup code. It isn't working because he made a mistake somewhere along the line. We do indeed have at least 5 upgrades that will also work.

But since he refuses to use the template, we can't do more troubleshooting, like tell him to learn a few commands because we have no idea if he has the original WD remote or not.
