Nevo C2 pixelated language screen

Since EZ-RC has closed down, JP1 is your only option to get these remotes upgrades. We will (eventually) support all remotes formerly supported by EZ-RC, including the Moster Revolution 200.

Nevo C2 pixelated language screen

Post by markdesmarais2015 »

New Nevo C2 user... did my initial upgrade on EZ-RC, no problem. Added some devices, disconnect, reconnect several times. Got RemoteMaster working (thanks guys!) did a download and saved the file, back and forth a few more times with EZ-RC adding more devices, more downloads... everything seemed to be going fine.

Left the remote plugged into the PC during the day- ran the batteries flat. Changed them for another set, and I get a pixelated language screen, and no ability to connect over USB. Can't get EZ-RC to connect either. Put the batteries in and out about a hundred times- same result.

Holding power and OK gets me into Upgrade mode... now EZ-RC does an update, with the % success dependent on how close to the root USB port I am. Plugged right into the MB connector, I see the upgrade run for about 14 seconds, then the remote reboots, and I get a blank screen, and the process ceases (please connect, may take up to 5 sec, never does).

I found a few references to this on the AVS post, but it seems like most people just changed the batteries and it started working.... anyone got more suggestions? I'm about to do a return. Soooo frustrating!

thanks

OK, read the reset page more carefully... doing a power,1,3 battery combo did not APPEAR to change anything on the remote (still came up with a pixelated language screen) BUT now EZ-RC was able to update the remote! Looks like everything is working now!

Glad you were able to recover. I have one remote with strange pixellation on some screens as well and would like to force another firmware update. Exactly how did you get into upgrade mode? Did you have to remove the batteries first?

What is this power 1, 3 battery thing? Is that supposed to be some kind of reset for this new remote? If so does that belong in the master reset instructions in the wiki?

Good idea. I just added it. Still not sure how to force upgrade mode, only get out of it.
