Xsight Touch / Color remotes on ebay ($17-$30 shipped)
A Chinese seller appears to be dumping quite a few of these from $33 for just the remote or $50 for the whole package. I can't vouch for the condition or the seller, but looks like a good deal to me. In case you weren't aware, this model does work with Remote Master and does not require a JP1 cable, only the USB cable that comes with it. The Touch is also RF capable if you buy an optional base like the Nevo Rex-433. It's the pinnacle of current JP1 remotes IMO.
EDIT: Latest seller with lowest prices is allshop29
Acoustic research RF bases for the Touch are going for around $15

looks good at first glance
I ordered one of these. The seller is based in Hong Kong. This seller has 99.1% positive feedback on 17,486 transactions on eBay. 6 of these have been sold since I bought mine, 10 since the listing showed up. The listing says "more than 10" are available.
I ordered December 29, paying with PayPal. The $50.15 price includes shipping. I received a notice that the item had been shipped almost instantly. Although the seller says it takes 12-18 business days for a shipment to arrive at a US address, this shipment to me in Seattle took 8 days, i.e. it arrived today, January 6.
It was in its original box, although the box was not new. The included Honkinese battery isn't the most carefully assembled lithium pack I've ever seen, but it looks new. There is also a usb cable, a charging station and a transformer for the charger.
The remote itself looks great. It lights up when you move it. I haven't tested it any further than that. I've got it charging now. The seller claims to be offering a 2 month warranty.
I won't be able to do much with it for a week or so.
I'm searching the JP1 site at the moment gathering up files with the intention of using RMIR with it. It almost looks to me that I could work with the files downloaded from the links on this page and I'd be able to do something....

Several forum members, including myself, have had good luck with this vendor so far.
Remote Master is working great with these now.

eBay prices on the Touch continue to be insane.
I bought one from this vendor with no problems:

Better hurry. Supplies for the Touch are nearly dried up. Cheapest ones are now over $100. Color can still be had for around $20, but probably not for much longer.

(at your own risk, as I have not used that vendor before)
EDIT: Allshop29 also has a batch of these for $20 each.

It arrived from China in about a week! Amazing service. Glad it was so cheap, because I am not loving it so far. Maybe I would like it better if I had gone with the one that cost "a little" more.

I don't know first hand which models are RF capable and which aren't, but I see a listing for the remote and its RF extender on ebay.mietde wrote:In the first post it is mentioned it is RF capable but it looks like it's not. It is the C3 that has RF capabilities.

Acoustic Research Xsight Touch RF Extender

From a quick search for the Nevo C2 and C3 on ebay, I would guess that the C2 is not RF capable and the C3 is, but perhaps someone else can confirm.

In case anyone is in my situation, just wanted to share some Nevo C2 RF info.
I bought 3 of these, two for my mom. I have her set up on a distributed system with a NextGen RF adapted remote in her bedroom.
I was "two for two" in using the NextGen (which replaces a battery with an RF sender in any remote), but it doesn't work with the C2's 3 AA battery system.
The other two remotes I've used it with are a simple oneforall two AAA battery remote, and the Comcast two AA battery remote (with an AA to AAA adapter).
So, I'll keep my eyes open for a cheap ARRX18G as that seems to work with the Nevo REX-433 RF Extender.
