So which version of Java should I use for RMIR v2.03Alpha and where can I download it? I read here that some versions don't work with RMIR. |

Under Windows XP 32 bit, I have used Java 1.7, and haven't tried 1.8. For Windows 7 both 32 and 64 bit Java work with 1.7. I've only tried 1.8 on Win7 64 bit, and that works.

I always use the latest JRE on all platforms and have never had a problem with any of them. Where did you see these issue reports? |

There used to be issues with the 64bit version. That was a long long time ago. I still use the 32 bit version, even though I have a 64 bit machine. It is always best to run the latest and greatest version of Java, you don't want to run into security issues. |

I tried to install Java 1.8 on my XP machine and it gave a warning that I need to upgrade to a newer OS, but it looks like it will still install even though I did not and installed Java 1.7 instead.
I believe there was a thread vickyg2003 had made concerning Java 8.xx |
