Thank you so much. It works! The file was a little glitchy at first meaning if I clicked up, it would move up 2 places and same for the down key. It stopped doing it now. Is there a way to program the play, stop, and return key without the remote? I already took it back to the store

Please advise

Only by trial and error. But that is not as scary as it sounds :D The hard work has already been done in identifying the IR Protocol and Device Number. There are only 256 button codes so all we need to do is try each one and see what happens.

I have uploaded some test BIN files (Both RV & PL as you haven't told us what Slingbox you are using) at http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... e_id=12884

So install the 2011 file and tap EVERY button, including the 15 Custom buttons you access by right-clicking on the image and selecting Custom.

Do any of then operate the missing functions ?

Repeat the exercise for the 2012 & 2013 files. Between them they cover the first 120 codes. Hopefully we won't have to go much further.

Thank you for the insight. I have the slingbox 500. I will try it when I get home. Also, I notice when I play a video while connected to the slingbox, the screen zooms in automatically making it too close. I've tried the zoom feature to the bottom left to adjust it and also the aspect button but that doesn't resolve the issue. Is that normal?

Was that to fix the zoom or the Play/Pause... buttons ?

If I click the ok button within xbmc, I get access to the ok and pause button. The automatic zoom is still an issue but I'm assuming it's because of the hdmi connection that I have. I think the slingbox 500 is not perfect on the hdmi feed. I'll try the composite wiring and report back if I'm having the same issue.

Am I supposed to be doing anything else to help with the remote? Not sure from your answer.
