Cloud iBox2 remote help
I need a bit of help getting a remote for for Slingbox 350 installed to operate my Cloud iBox2,
I have added the V2010_PL.BIN file but I think when I first installed it I may have assumed that the type of device was a sat receiver, it was only when I tried to re install that I read that it should have been a PVR.
Non of the buttons work on the remote, I read on the forum that you cannot replace a custom remote with one of the same name.I would appreciate any help.

OK, lots of confusion here.
1. It doesn't actually matter what device type you select.
2. That bug about overwriting Custom Remotes was fixed some months ago.
3. The instructions state clearly:
"...If you have problems please do NOT just report back it 'doesn't work', that is totally useless for someone trying to understand what is going on. So please report the following:..."
And your reply was "...Non of the buttons work on the remote..."
Care to try again ?

I am not really sure what more information I can supply other than the fact that I have installed the remote C:\V2010_PL.BIN as per the guide
http://placeshiftingenthusiasts.com/how ... 0-and-350/ and the remote was accepted.
The remote displays on screen however there is no functionality from the remote atoll either within the LAN or over the internet, I have tried port forwarded the slingbox and disabled the firewall.

I have tried all the tests in the readme file again except the digital camera as I dont have one to hand, there is still no functionality.
I will get a camera tomorrow and test the IR blaster then. however I have also used an IR blaster from an old slingbox solo and it doesnt have any effect either.
I will connect an old sky sat box tomorrow and make sure that that still works with the slingbox built in remote.
I have just noticed that there is also a plus in the name of the box, so the full name is Cloud iBox 2 plus, I hope this isnt a glaringly obvious error on my behalf
I do appreciate your assistance

Remember to provide feedback to let us know how the problem was solved and share your upgrades.
Tip: When creating an upgrade, always include ALL functions from the oem remote, even if you never plan on assigning them to a button. Complete function lists makes an upgrade more helpful to others.
