RCA RCRP05B Communication Issue

Post by GameGod »

Not sure what I did, but the remote is no longer being recognized by RMIR. I tried a factory reset (via Setup + 980 & Setup + 981).

When I try to communicate, the device button flashes once, like usual, and then immediately after I get the "No remotes found" message and a double flash right after, as if it has completed programming.

The cable is fine, because it works with the other remote just fine. I installed new batteries, in case it was that, but no luck. I double checked to make sure the connector was not reversed, to eliminate that as well.

This is the relevant piece from the log file:

Code: Select all
