Scientific Atlanta/Cisco Bins for Model KMM3010
I was wondering if anybody can help me out with creating the bins for the remotes for the following Meo Portugal Cable boxes.
They are both From Scientific Atlanta ( Cisco )
KMM3010 ( PVR )
Let me know if ur able to help or guide me in right direction.
Thanks again,
Its for a European model SlingBox Pro-HD
Any help would be very appreciated.
Best regards,
Miguel

The KMM3010 is a wierd one and I will need some help from the real experts on this. It uses the same codes as the Swisscom Bluewin series and they don't make much sense. Everything decodes as Nokia 32, 35.176, and most of the buttons decode with X=0. BUT, the arrow buttons decode with an OBC of zero and different X values. I'm not the first to see that as Rob produced a BIN file at http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... le_id=4453 which shows he had the same problem
Any thoughts ?

Hi Alan,
Here is the thread where Rob did the decode from the CCF
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8157
I assume we need the signals decoded by hand, so we'll need to see the signals.
You might want to post this in the protocols decode area.

Here's the KM file for the Swisscom Bluewin:

Alan, are the learns exactly the same as the Swisscom Bluewin? If so, the old bin that I created should work. If they're different in some way I would need to see the new learns so I can compare them to the old learns.

Yes the learns appear identical. I've uploaded a sample to the Diagnosis area at: http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... e_id=11335 (That area needs a bit of weeding
)
It shows 4 well-behaved buttons (Power, Play, Pause & Menu, OBCs of 2,3,36 & 20) and then 4 of the badly-behaved buttons (1,2, Up Arrow, Down Arrow) which decode with an OBC of zero and a varying X value (21,22,31, & 34)
Any help ?

Alan, I've compared the signals and they look mostly identical, so for the buttons that show an OBC you should be able to add them to the Swisscom file that I created.
The OBC=0 buttons are a bit more problematic. With the Swisscom learns, the new OBC showed up in the X= part (though, if the number displayed was > 192, we'd have to subtract 128 first), but due to a very slight difference in the timing data, the X= part of your learns doesn't show the right OBC.
Here's something that might work for the OBC=0 buttons.
1) If the X value is less than 64, add 64
3) If the X value is greater than 128, subtract 64
3) If the X value is greater than 192, subtract 128
So...
1) The '1' button shows as X=21, add 64 and the OBC is 85
2) The '2' button shows as X=150, subtract 64 and the OBC is 86
3) The UP button shows as X=31, add 64 and the OBC is 95
4) The DOWN button shows as X=162, subtract 64 and the OBC is 98
(For those that prefer to work in binary, just replace the two MSBs with "01")

The text file is an upgrade file, the bin file is the one from the 2nd post above:
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... le_id=4453
It's a PL file, but you probably need an RV file. Give me a moment and I'll create one.

The following zip has two bin files in it, one PL and one RV. I've also included Alan's standard readme file. I names the bins C2011 so that they won't overlay the C2010 files that he created for you for the C2001 box.

I think it's the RV, but just to be safe, put them both in the folder.

Scientific Atlanta/ Cisco -CIS2001 MEO Portugal
Hey,
Just wanna to give the heads up, that yesterday i tried both of the bins.
CS2010PL and CS2010RV. As per Alan instructions i tried both ways through the internet browser and through the player copying the files into the SBAV folder. and using Cable for device and other for Manufactured and using custom codes. the files are valid files for sure as the player recognized them. Also did a bunch of testing to make sure the Ir blasters are operating well, and they are as when i hit functions on the slingbox remote they flash. However none of the commands seams to be the right codes for the boxes. as none of the actions have result. So am not sure if MEO ( the cable provider ) as the changed the original codes for that model.
Therefore no luck with that box. I am sending all the wires for connecting the KMM3010 box hopefully by next weekend, so i can test the files you guys were to create for that model.
Anyways thanks for all the support.
Best regards,
M
