LKP repeats itself with RCR RCRP05B

Post by just4fn »

When I hold down the device key- DVD, the lkp protocol keeps repeating until I let up. Should it do that? I'm using the 1.05 extender. I'm also getting the same results as Dailyglen when I tried the DKP instead of the LKP. Is there something I can put in the end of the macro to stop it? Thanks for the help!

Here is my IR file:

Hi just4fn,

In the extender's documentation the last key of a macro should repeat if you continue to press the key down so that seems correct and quite useful. Try adding Dev_Cancel to your macro to stop that behavior (I think that is documented in the ReadMe.txt).

Thanks.

That is correct. The extender is designed to repeat the last key in a macro (this is a useful feature)

As I have said before, every key in the extender is a "macro" to the extender. even single key presses are pushed onto the macro buffer and then played as a one-key macro. (this makes the design of the extender simpler)
this JP1 stuff is a sickness!

its not just the last key but the whole macro. It just keeps going. I will try the device cancel.

Just tried adding device cancel at the end of the macro and it still repeats.
