Hello all. Forgive me if this topic has already been answered; I searched the forums but did not see anything answering this question.

1. Device: Polaroid TTM-2401
2. Type of device: 24" TV
3. Year: ~2006
4. JP1/UEI Remote model: 15-2138 Kameleon 8-in-1
5. Do you have a JP1 cable? No
6. Still have original remote? No
7. Checked the file section? Yes
8. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)? Yes
9. Partially working setup code? No
10. Learning remote question? N/A

I found the TV in question next to a dumpster in my apartment complex yesterday. Works perfectly. In case any additional information is needed, here's a link to the TV:
http://www.amazon.com/product/dp/B000FIMMH6?tag=j0df-20

The link to my remote is:
http://www.amazon.com/product/dp/B000I84LU4?tag=j0df-20

I've tried some of the codes in my owner's manual, but since there's not a "Polaroid" section for TVs in the codebook, it didn't help much.

Thank you for your time.

We have an upgrade for a Polaroid TTM-2420 in the file section:

However, you would need a JP1 cable in order to load it into your remote.

Try codes 0150, 0178, 0463, 0171, and 0156.

Thanks for the advice, The Robman. I'm researching JP1 at the moment.

@MaskedMan, I just tried the codes you suggested, but no luck. Sad I appreciate the suggestion, though!

Couple more options: If you also have a cable tv or directv remote, the following codes may work on either of those: 10765, 10865, 11276, 11314, 11327, 11328, 11341, 11523. You could also use those codes on a model 15-133 remote from your friendly neighborhood radio shack ($20). If it doesn't work, you can always return it.

Unfortunately, I don't have a cable TV or other remote. I'm just a poor graduate student. Smile

I did find a forum that suggested dropping the first digit off of 5-digit codes when the remote only accepts 4-digit codes (like mine), so I tried the above mentioned 5-digit codes to no avail.

I purchased my 8-in-1 remote over 4 years ago, so I think I'm pretty stuck with it; otherwise I'd look into exchanging it.

Do you know how to handle a soldering iron and do you have a parallel or serial port on your PC? If so, you could make yourself a JP1 cable, then you'd be able to add any new codes you need to your remote.

I do know how to handle a soldering iron, and have a parallel port, but I'm currently ~100 miles away from my iron. I apologize for being difficult, and I want to thank everyone for their suggestions thus far!

If this is your oem remote:

http://www.newremotecontrol.com/Mfrs/OtherBrands/Def/dyn_part_data.php?catnum=BT-0329D---CH

I have this remote, it matches code 11326 in the directv remotes. It isn't in your radio shack remote, nor current RS remotes.

Your RS remote does have a modem on board, perhaps someone here could make up a WAV file for you to download to your remote. Smile

TV/1326 uses NEC1 with a device code of 8, but unfortunately there aren't any setup codes in the 15-2138 that use that combination (which is surprising).

According to the RDF, the 15-2138 doesn't have a modem.

Yes, the 2138 has a modem, the 2133 & 2138 are the only RS Kameleons that did.

Additional proof that code 11326 is what is needed:

In case you ever do get a JP1 cable, I found a match and recorded the IR signals with the JP1 tools to create the respective files.
